Terms of Service
These are the rules of the road for using Pawlo. They're written in plain English and they're shorter than most. Please read them — by creating an account or subscribing, you're agreeing to them.

1. The agreement
These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and Ugur Bakisuzun (operating as "Pawlo"), an independent developer based in the United Kingdom. By downloading, installing, or using the Pawlo mobile app or visiting pawlo.so, you agree to these terms.
If you don't agree, that's OK — please don't use the service.
2. Your account
To use most of Pawlo's features you'll need a free account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your password secret. You are responsible for any activity that happens under your account.
You can delete your account at any time from the in-app Profile screen. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
3. What Pawlo does (and doesn't)
Pawlo is a gamified dog training companion. It helps you and your dog learn together with structured programs, AI-guided feedback, walks, and gentle daily reminders.
Pawlo is not a substitute for a professional dog trainer or veterinarian. The advice from the AI character "Pawlo" is generated by a large language model and may occasionally be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for your dog's specific situation. If your dog shows signs of aggression, fear, illness, or persistent behavioural issues, please consult a qualified trainer or vet.
4. Pawlo Pro subscription
Pawlo is free to use. An optional Pawlo Pro subscription unlocks all training programs, all tricks, unlimited AI chats, and other premium features. Pricing is shown in the app at the time of purchase, in your local currency where supported.
Subscriptions are billed monthly through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store at the price stated at sign-up. They auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal will be charged to the same payment method.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel your Pawlo Pro subscription at any time directly in your device's subscription settings:
- Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Google Play and Apple under their respective refund policies; please contact them directly for refund requests.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Pawlo to harm an animal in any way.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
- Abuse, spam, or misuse the AI advisor or any backend service.
- Use the service to violate any law or third-party right.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to the service without our written permission.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
7. Intellectual property
Pawlo, the Pawlo mascot, the brand, the app code, the artwork, the copy, and the training program content are all owned by us or our licensors. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of any information you put into Pawlo about your dog.

9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pawlo and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose (or £20, whichever is higher).
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers may also bring proceedings in their local courts where required by law.
